Este proceso es un reencuentro de lo que somos, la identidad de la clase trabajadora.

El Conurbano Bonaerense tiene sus raíces en la industrialización y el crecimiento económico de Argentina durante los siglos XIX y XX.

A medida que la ciudad de Buenos Aires se expandió, surgió una necesidad creciente de mano de obra para alimentar las fábricas, talleres y empresas emergentes. Muchos migraron desde áreas rurales y otras partes del país hacia el Conurbano en busca de oportunidades económicas y una vida mejor... nuestros padres, madres y abuelos.

Estos desempeñaron un papel fundamental en la construcción de la infraestructura urbana y en el desarrollo de industrias clave. Con el tiempo, se formaron comunidades sólidas y diversificadas producto de los distintos orígenes de nuestros arboles genealógicos, de distintas culturas, regiones y hasta lenguas.

Enfrentó y todavía enfrenta el trabajador una serie de desafíos, que van desde condiciones laborales difíciles hasta la búsqueda constante de una mejor calidad de vida. A veces con viento a favor… a veces en contra… en un país montaña rusa, que tiene subidas, bajadas… y vuelta a empezar.

La identidad de la clase trabajadora del Conurbano se ha forjado a través de los años mediante experiencias compartidas de trabajo duro, solidaridad y búsqueda de oportunidades. La diversidad cultural de la población ha enriquecido aún más este tejido social, creando una identidad tan única como multifacética.

Tan distintos que nos parecemos.

This process is a rediscovery of who we are, the identity of the working class. The Conurbano Bonaerense has its roots in the industrialization and economic growth of Argentina during the 19th and 20th centuries.

As the city of Buenos Aires expanded, there arose a growing need for labor to fuel the factories, workshops, and emerging businesses. Many migrated from rural areas and other parts of the country to the Conurbano in search of economic opportunities and a better life—our parents, mothers, grandparents, and great-grandparents.

They played a fundamental role in building urban infrastructure and developing key industries. Over time, strong and diverse communities were formed, the result of the different origins in our family trees, different cultures, regions, and even languages.

The worker has faced and continues to face a series of challenges, ranging from difficult working conditions to the constant pursuit of a better quality of life. Sometimes with the wind at their backs, sometimes against it, in a rollercoaster country.

The identity of the working class in the Conurbano has been forged over the years through shared experiences of hard work, solidarity, and the pursuit of opportunities. The cultural diversity of the population has further enriched this social fabric, creating an identity as unique as it is multifaceted.

So different, yet so alike.
